Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

I’ve adapted this recipe from Medical Medium, where you can deep dive into the health benefits of this recipe. This smoothie is not only delicious, it's also perfectly designed to include five key ingredients that work together in synergy to pull heavy metals like mercury, lead, aluminum, nickel, copper, and cadmium out of your organs where they accumulate. 

Ingredients

- 2 bananas

- 2 cups frozen or fresh wild blueberries (or 2 ounces pure wild blueberry juice, or 2 tablespoons pure wild blueberry powder)

- 1 cup tightly packed fresh cilantro

- 1 teaspoon barley grass juice powder

- 1 teaspoon spirulina

- 1 tablespoon Atlantic dulse (or 2 dropperfuls Atlantic dulse liquid)

- 1 orange, juiced

- 1/2 cup frozen dragonfruit

- 1 tablespoon cacao nibs

- 1⁄2 to 1 cup water, coconut water, or additional fresh-squeezed orange juice (optional)

Method

1. In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients except the cacao nibs.

2. Blend until smooth. If a thinner consistency is desired, add up to 1 cup of water, coconut water, or additional orange juice.

3. Pour the smoothie into a bowl.

4. Sprinkle cacao nibs on top for added crunch and nutrition.

5. Enjoy immediately.
